Abstract: This article examines the recorded city soundscape and its relation to dance in Nadia Vadori-Gauthier’s resistant dancing project Une minute de danse par jour started in 2015. Referring to the concepts of site and non-site, site-specific performance, sonoric landscape and Cage’s experiment with city soundscapes, I look into three types of sites used by the dancer: the street, means or sites of transport and isolated places (cemeteries). I am particularly interested in the ways in which the found sound determines the dancer’s movements and how it is framed both by the dancer and the camera.
