The Pioneers - conversations on the limits of imagination
A series of movies by Karol Jałochowski
This is a unique project linking various realms of art with science. „The Pioneers" are documentary series dedicated with the most renowned and unorthodox scholars, who had the courage to question contemporary paradigms. A documentary on Daniel Dennett - "Do lobsters have free will?" with music composed by Jacek Mazurkiewicz shall be viewed on October 20th 2017 as a part of the TIS 2017 conference. After the viewing there shall be a discussion with the participation of:

- P. Frelik (Maria Curie-Skłodowska University)
- M. Hohol (Polish Academy of Sciences)
- K. Jałochowski (Polityka, director of the PIONEERS series)
Special Session on Mindreading
A number of researchers have confirmed their attendance, including but not limited to: Prof. Francisco Pons (University of Oslo, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Psychology); Prof. Cheung Him (Chinese University of Hong Kong, Department of Psychology); Prof. Maciej Haman (University of Warsaw, Department of Psychology); Prof. Marta Białecka-Pikul (Jagiellonian University, Department of Psychology). Prof. Arkadiusz Gut will lead the session.
We encourage researchers to submit paper presentation proposals to this special session. Poster presentation proposals from doctoral students are welcome as well. The submission deadline is the 15th of September 2017 (via Easychair, registration extended to the 15th of September for this special session only).
