Tadeusz Rachwał is Professor of English at the SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences in Warsaw. His books, essays and academic papers address various issues of colonial and postcolonial studies, contemporary literary and critical theory, sociology of literature and anthropology. His most recent publication is a monographic study of the ideas of property and loss and their aesthetic, ethical and philosophical significances in contemporary theoretical approaches to projects of social and political change (Precarity and Loss. On Certain and Uncertain Properties of Life and Work, Springer-Verlag: 2017).
